We would like to inform you about a recent change in the shipping of our RnV Hydrovac 2 units. Starting in May 2025, some units were shipped without the new float system due to a delay in its availability. Please be assured that we are actively working to resolve this. We will be shipping the new float systems to all clients and partners who received units since the beginning of May 2025. These float systems can be retrofitted to all build levels of the RNV units. — In the interim, it is acceptable to use the units without the float temporarily. A portable vacuum can be beneficial for pool maintenance and remodeling in several ways:

  1. Pool Cleaning with a Portable Vacuum: Vacuuming is an essential part of pool maintenance to remove debris from the pool bottom. Manual or automatic pool vacuums can be used to effectively clean the pool surface and keep it free from dirt and debris.
  2. Algae and Bacterial Control: Vacuuming can help in controlling algae and bacteria growth in the pool. These microorganisms can adhere to pool surfaces, and vacuuming helps remove them, preventing the formation of algae blooms and reducing the risk of waterborne illnesses.
  3. Pool Drainage and Refilling: During pool remodeling or renovation projects, it is often necessary to drain the pool partially or completely. A portable vacuum can aid in the process by facilitating the drainage of water from the pool. Additionally, when refilling the pool, a vacuum can help remove any debris that may have accumulated in the pool during the remodeling process, ensuring clean water for swimming.
  4. Dust and Construction Debris Removal: During pool remodeling or construction, dust, debris, and construction materials can end up in the pool. Using a vacuum specifically designed for pool use can effectively remove these materials, allowing for a cleaner and safer pool area. This is particularly important before refilling the pool and reopening it for use.
  5. Efficiency in Maintenance: Using a vacuum can streamline pool maintenance tasks, making the process more efficient. Whether manually vacuuming or utilizing an automatic pool cleaner, a portable vacuum can save you time and effort compared to manual cleaning.

It is important to select a portable vacuum such as the RNVac Hydrovac-2 specifically designed for pool use, as regular household vacuums are not suitable for pool cleaning due to potential damage and safety risks. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and recommended guidelines for the safe and effective use of pool vacuums during maintenance and remodeling activities.
